Job summary

Action for Children is seeking a Head of Treasury & Financial Accounts to lead financial accounting and statutory reporting from a homebased UK position. You will drive cashflow, investments and financial policy while advising the CFO and monitoring controls across the charity.

The role requires CCAB qualification with substantial PQE, strong stewardship, and expertise in tax and reporting frameworks. Salary reflects senior leadership in a national charity, with excellent pension and training

Qualifications

• CCAB qualification or equivalent with significant post qualification experience.
• High-level financial stewardship evidenced by previous roles.
• Solid understanding of reporting, legal and tax frameworks relevant to the role.
• Knowledge of FRS17 and statutory reporting practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for financial accounting, statutory reporting and investment oversight.
• Counsel CFO and maintain appropriate policies and controls across the organisation.
• Lead on long-term investment strategy and cashflow management.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial accounts and annual statutory statements.
