Overview

Senior Travel Consultant needed for a busy independent travel agency in North Yorkshire. An all‑rounder who can book a variety of products from last minute to tailor‑made itineraries. Customer service and attention to detail are key, as the store has a lot of repeat clientele.

Responsibilities

• Selling face to face, via telephone and via email.
• Booking tailor-made travel itineraries to suit client needs.
• Selling travel products, including luxury and high‑end travel, to European and worldwide destinations.
• Booking travel arrangements for repeat, new, recommended and valued clients.
• Delivering a dedicated service with the highest standard of customer care.
• Offering advice using previous travel industry experience.
• Working well as a team player and also independently.

Qualifications / Experience

• Experience in customer service with a passion for travel.
• Previous independent travel experience is essential.
• Experience travelling or selling destinations such as the Indian Ocean, Caribbean, and Cruise experience if possible.

The Package

• Salary up to £24k depending on experience.

• Monday – Saturday work pattern (Saturday on a rota); Sunday closed.
