Job summary

TACT (The Adolescent & Childrens Trust) is seeking a Senior Supervising Social Worker for a homebased role covering Northampton, Peterborough, with travel to Greater Manchester and Merseyside. The role is 35 hours per week, Mon–Fri, permanent, paying £37,829 per year and rising to £42,032 after 18 months, plus £1,500 Out of Hours allowance and £750 Homeworking allowance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work and up-to-date registration with Social Work England.
• At least 2 years post-qualifying experience in a regulated fostering service.
• Proven track record with children, respecting individuality and promoting development.
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Enhanced DBS (processed by TACT).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a diverse range of foster carers and children.
• Ensure children are safe, well cared for and achieve positive outcomes in line with TACT policies.
• Undertaking Form F assessments where needed.
• Facilitate regular support groups and learning opportunities, including training delivery.
• Develop the service and support colleagues.
• Record and update CHARMS and other central/social work systems.
• Participate in Out of Hours Service.
