Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the North of England seeks an experienced Transport Planning Lead to join its Movement & Place discipline. You will contribute to delivery, optioneering and business case development, working with a multidisciplinary team to inform transport policy and major regeneration projects.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and support evidence-based decision making.
• Excellent communication and report/bid writing skills, with experience engaging internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
• Sound technical understanding of transport planning principles and appraisal techniques.
• Ability to manage projects with competing priorities and deliver high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
• Confident team player, capable of working collaboratively and independently.
• Experience in transport strategies and policy development.
• Experience in development planning and business case preparation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the transport planning team and be responsible for securing and delivering work from local clients.
• Collaborate with specialists from across the business as part of multi-disciplinary teams on projects informing transport policy and strategy development.
• Support optioneering, scheme appraisal and business case development for regeneration and infrastructure projects.
• Engage stakeholders and contribute to project delivery and business development.
• Balance collaboration with independent work to meet client needs.
