Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hard-working Senior Transport Planner, or an aspiring one, to join our dynamic and growing team working in the greenest city in the UK. You will support the delivery of transport schemes across the city.
While the role is ideal for someone with a background in transport or project management and a track record of delivery. Role Overview
Based in the transport programmes team, you will assist the council in delivering a variety of transport schemes, both capital and revenue. Key projects currently in progress include:
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will demonstrate the skills, knowledge, experience or qualifications outlined in the Job Description. You should have experience overseeing projects of various sizes and possess a strong interest and enthusiasm for transport systems and planning. If you have considerable experience in scheme development, we'd love to hear from you.
With excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will be able to build strong relationships and have experience preparing business cases, securing funding or investment, and managing finances effectively.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide pay slip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
