We are recruiting for a Senior Transport Planner specialising in Economic Appraisal to support projects and client accounts, focusing on project delivery and helping clients achieve their objectives and outcomes.

The Transport Planning team operates across the UK, with offices in the South, Midlands, North of England, Wales, and Scotland. We seek a proven Transport Planner with expertise in Economic Appraisal to join this established and enthusiastic team for current and upcoming projects.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality work in Transport Planning, focusing on economic appraisal and business case development.
• Manage tasks involved in project delivery.
• Support the development of junior team members' capabilities and capacity.
• Assist in developing bids and marketing materials related to Economic Appraisal.
• Engage with technical excellence groups and share knowledge.
• Review standards and define best practices in economic appraisal with the technical group.
• Implement automated solutions to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant bachelor's or master's degree and have experience working within a multinational engineering or professional services firm. Proven delivery of economic appraisal and business cases in Transport Planning is essential.

You should have experience delivering projects in both private and public sectors, with skills in transport planning, economic appraisal, stakeholder engagement, transport modelling, and report writing.

• Experience in transport planning, specialising in economic appraisal and business case development.
• Experience working as part of a large multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in transport economic appraisal software such as TUBA, COBALT.
• Ability to support and mentor junior team members.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Capability to produce comprehensive transport technical documents.
