Job summary
Vivid Resourcing is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join a Newcastle-based consultancy. You will lead transport assessments, statements and travel plans, and provide high-level highways advice across residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use developments.
You'll deliver transport modelling, reviews of junction capacity, and strategies while mentoring junior staff and engaging with clients and authorities to drive project success.
Qualifications
- Several years' experience within transport planning consultancy.
- Strong experience delivering development planning projects.
- Good understanding of the UK planning system and the transport planning process.
- Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
- Provide transport planning and highways advice in support of development proposals.
- Undertake traffic generation, distribution and impact assessments.
- Carry out junction capacity assessments using modelling software.
- Develop transport strategies for various developments.
- Liaise with clients, developers, local authorities and other consultants.
- Attend and contribute to client and project meetings.
- Manage projects, programmes and budgets to ensure delivery.
- Prepare technical reports and support planning applications.
- Provide input into planning negotiations and Section 106 discussions.
- Review and mentor junior team members.
