Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd in Guildford is seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to support our Surrey office on transport planning, highway design, flood risk, and drainage input across feasibility, planning, and detailed design stages.

The role covers residential, retail, office, distribution, and mixed-use projects, with hybrid working, a performance bonus, private healthcare, and professional body memberships; you will lead transport assessments, modelling, policy

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years relevant Transport Planning experience and degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or Mathematics etc.
• Understanding of the UK planning process.
• Further education or Master’s degree in a transport planning/engineering related discipline would be beneficial.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with AutoCAD and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and supporting technical notes.
• Undertake and oversee transport modelling, forecasting, and data analysis using industry-standard tools.
• Interpret national, regional, and local transport policy and apply it to development proposals.
• Lead stakeholder engagement, including liaison with local authorities, statutory bodies and design teams.
• Mentor and technically review the work of junior staff, providing guidance and professional development support.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and company procedures.
