Job Description

My client, an award-winning consulting engineer, is looking for a Senior Transport Planner to join their recently established, growing multi-disciplinary office. Led by your Transport Planning line manager and supported by the office's Regional Director, you will assist in expanding the Bristol Transport Planning Team.

Who you are
  • Experience producing Transport Notes, Statements, and Assessments, Travel Plans
  • Understanding of relevant local and transport policy and guidance
  • Proficient in junction capacity modelling software such as Junctions 10, LinSig/Quickgreen, and industry software like TRICS and TEMPro
  • Skilled in GIS software packages such as QGIS, ArcGIS, MapInfo, Basemap, TRACC
  • Proficient in preliminary highway design using AutoCAD and relevant design guidance
  • Good organization, communication, and presentation skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience in project management, liaising with clients and stakeholders
  • Willing to mentor junior staff
  • Membership in a professional institution such as CIHT, IHE, TPS, or seeking chartership via TPP or CILT
  • Previous industry experience and aspiration to advance your career
