Role description:

We are recruiting for a Senior Transport Planner specialising in Active Travel to support projects and client accounts and focussed on project delivery and supporting clients to deliver their objectives and outcomes. Additionally, candidates will need to demonstrate report writing skills, stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work flexibly across different projects.

Our current client portfolio includes several Local Authorities, Transport for London, National Highways, planners and property developers.

The Transport Planning team operates across the UK. We require a proven Transport Planner specialising in Active Travel to join this established and enthusiastic team to work on existing and upcoming projects.

This is an exciting time to join a growing team, with significant opportunities for to work in parallel with the broader Arcadis teams, together with wide range of internal and external clients.

Role accountabilities:

Transport Planning delivery

• Produce consistently high-quality deliverables.
• Time management.
• Engagement with client and key stakeholders

Growth

• Support the development of bids and marketing collateral relating to Active Travel

Capability & Development

• Evolve usage of the GEC and support in the upskilling of yourself and junior team members.
• Engagement with technical excellence groups and knowledge sharing.

Standardization of Service & Best Practice

• Work with technical excellence group to review standards and define active travel project development and design best practice.

Automation & Digitalization of Service

• Create environment for and deploy automated solutions to repeatable processes which improve efficiency and lower our cost of delivery

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree and experience working within a multinational engineering or professional services firm.
• Proven track record of delivery of economic appraisal and business cases in the Transport Planning space is essential.
• Experienced in the successful delivery of projects, ideally in both the private and public sectors.
• Rounded experience in transport planning work with a focus on active travel, together with experience in stakeholder engagement, transport modelling, and report writing.
