Opportunity for a Senior Transport Planner to join our growing, multidisciplinary team in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Also open to Transport Planners who will be ready for promotion within 18 months or so.

Transport Planning in Cheltenham is where it all started for us and we have a rich concentration of talent in the office, from fresh graduates all the way up to Partners, making up a local TP team of circa 20. The office is also home to Civil Engineers, Water Environment Consultants, Landscape Architects and business services people and we work on a wide variety of projects, locally, regionally and nationally.

Your day-to-day work with us will include

• Technical reports such as Access Appraisals, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and WCHARs with support from colleagues.
• Junction capacity modelling and CAD design work.
• Project management of projects, with support from colleagues.
• Assisting with the financial management of projects, from drafting fee proposals to invoicing, with support from colleagues.
• Mentoring junior colleagues
• Liaising with stakeholders, external project team members and clients.
• Representing the company at meetings, public consultations and exhibitions.
• Undertaking site visits
• Business development
• Managing own workload with support from colleagues.

What we are looking for in you

• Experience of working on developments within a range of sectors including residential, commercial and education.
• Working knowledge of traffic (junction & strategic) modelling software.
• Understanding and experience in working on strategic development sites.
• Knowledge and experience in liaising with stakeholders.
• Sound undertaking of the plan-making process and impact on transport-related assessment work.
• Full UK driving license.
• The Right to Work in the UK (we are unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future)
