Senior Transport Modeller - Pontypridd, South Wales

Salary: up to £45,000
Basis: Full time

Role Responsibilities
  1. Lead transport modelling projects using specialist software (Visum, SATURN) to forecast impacts of transport schemes and policies, considering various uncertainties.
  2. Manage and maintain the three multi-modal Wales regional transport models, ensuring quality and relevance of outputs.
  3. Support project managers by providing and interpreting transport modelling data, strengthening the evidence base for transport scheme business cases.
  4. Prepare transport forecasts for WelTAG appraisals and other business cases, adhering to best practice guidance.
  5. Develop method statements and fee proposals by liaising with clients, project teams, and supply chain partners.
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree in transport planning, modelling, engineering, mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience delivering transport modelling services and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Visum and/or SATURN software for strategic transport modelling.
  • Experience working with transport-related datasets.
Additional Information

Welsh language skills are a plus but not essential. We support and encourage Welsh language development through various training options.
