The BBC UK in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Transport Manager to lead Wales transport operations, ensuring fleet safety, compliance and continuity for production and broadcasting. You will coordinate maintenance, liaise with suppliers and work with production leads to meet evolving needs.

This role sits within the Fleet Team, Media Operations, offering flexible working discussions and a path to professional growth in a globally respected broadcaster.

Qualifications

• Experience managing statutory compliance within complex or regulated transport environments.
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on problem solving.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills for varied stakeholders.
• Experience managing regulated vehicle operating centres and driver hours frameworks.
• Practical experience ensuring maintenance and roadworthiness of large vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee forward planning and coordination of vehicle maintenance and compliance across transport bases.
• Ensure all fleet vehicles remain roadworthy, efficient and cost effective.
• Liaise with suppliers to secure timely, high quality services.
• Act as named Transport Manager on the Operator Licence for relevant traffic areas.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to meet changing production and broadcasting requirements.
