Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver major power transmission and distribution projects from award through handover. The role combines project leadership, commercial responsibility, stakeholder management and operational oversight across complex infrastructure programmes.

Responsibilities include leading transmission & distribution delivery, managing scope, budget and risks, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring health, safety, environment and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven PM experience in Power Transmission & Distribution.
• Experience delivering major infrastructure programmes.
• Experience managing programmes, budgets, risks and project controls.
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts and change management procedures.
• Understanding CDM Regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects to programme and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of transmission and distribution projects across full lifecycle.
• Manage project scope, programme, budget, resources, risks and change control.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements across activities.
• Oversee design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
• Manage NEC contracts and support commercial, procurement and financial performance.
• Produce and present project performance reports (programme, cost, risk, opportunities).
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support future opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote a strong safety culture.
