Job Description

We're recruiting for a Senior Transition Consultant to join our Award-Winning Pension Risk Transfer business.

We offer a competitive salary, great benefits, and the chance to work with Employee Benefit Consultants and Trustees of Defined Benefit Pension Schemes to develop scheme-specific transition plans, reconcile scheme member data, and accurately record benefits.

This is a Hybrid Working role, allowing you to work both from home and our offices to achieve a work-life balance that suits you.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Developing scheme-specific transition plans for all transactions and providing these to Trustees, their advisors, and relevant parties, including documentation to demonstrate project management and control structures.
  2. Analyzing scheme benefits and data to draft legal agreements for proper benefit administration.
  3. Performing peer reviews to ensure benefit specifications and data accuracy across teams.
  4. Managing scheme progress, including reviews, customer communications, and information sharing.
  5. Supporting the new business team and Transition Managers with administration capabilities and site visits to assess data quality.
  6. Ensuring timely communication and maintaining an audit trail of benefit and data items throughout onboarding.
  7. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within PRT Client Services via MI reporting.
  8. Keeping internal and external stakeholders updated on key information affecting their processes.
  9. Supporting team development through training and mentorship.
  10. Providing clear, tailored information to customers about actions required or further support needed.

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

  • Pension qualifications such as CII or PMI, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of pension regulations for DB schemes, especially de-risking processes.
  • Understanding of benefit structures and administration in DB schemes.
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize work, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Accuracy and cost-effectiveness in service delivery.
  • Awareness of team and business risks, with proactive risk mitigation.
  • Strong organizational skills, with project management experience beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent relationship management skills for internal and external stakeholders.
