Job Description
We're recruiting for a Senior Transition Consultant to join our award-winning Pension Risk Transfer business. We offer a competitive base salary, great benefits, and the opportunity to work with Employee Benefit Consultants and Trustees of Defined Benefit Pension Schemes to develop scheme-specific transition plans, reconcile scheme member data, and accurately record the benefits secured.

What you'll be doing:
- Developing scheme-specific transition plans for all transactions and providing these to Trustees, their advisors, and all interested parties within L&G. This includes creating documentation to demonstrate how the transition project will be managed and establishing structures to control the transition efficiently and promptly.
- Analyzing scheme benefits and data to draft legal agreements that ensure benefits are properly administered.
- Performing peer reviews to ensure benefit specifications and data are correct, guaranteeing customers receive their rightful benefits and schemes are funded accurately.
- Managing the progress of allocated schemes, including regular reviews and prompt responses to communications.
- Supporting the new business team and Transition Managers by advising on administration capabilities and attending site visits to assess data quality.
- Ensuring timely communication and maintaining an audit trail of benefit and data items throughout onboarding.
- Contributing to continuous improvement in PRT Client Services by providing relevant MI.
- Keeping internal and external stakeholders updated on key information affecting processing.
- Supporting team development through training and mentorship.
- Providing customers with tailored information to help them understand processes and actions required.
Qualifications
- Pension qualification such as CII or PMI, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of pension regulations for DB schemes, including de-risking requirements.
- Understanding of benefit structures and administration in DB schemes.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize work, and escalate issues as needed.
- Attention to detail to provide accurate, cost-effective service.
- Understanding of business risks and proactive risk mitigation.
- Strong organizational skills, with project management experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset to maintain and improve relationships with stakeholders.
