We are looking for a Senior Transformation Manager – Accounting Digitalisation to join our Liberty Blume team in Bradford (BD4) . This hybrid position requires at least two days per week in the office.
This role sits within theBBS Transformation function, supporting the enhancement of ourAccounting Operationsthrough targeted improvement initiatives.
Initially, theTransformation Managerwill focus on conducting in-depth investigation and analysis to enable the successful delivery of several finance digitalisation projects. These projects will specifically target areas such asjournal automation,automated financial statement review and commentary generation, andbalance sheet reconciliation preparation and review.
Collaborating with finance stakeholders and technology teams, the role will assess current processes, identify automation opportunities, and contribute to the design and validation of digital solutions.
What will you be doing?
- Own the end-to-end delivery of finance transformation projects across key functions, including P2P, O2C, R2R, and FP&A.
- Develop and lead comprehensive project plans, budgets, risk registers, resource allocations, and governance structures, following such as Agile and PRINCE2.
- Drive initiatives focused on process standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Oversee cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct in-depth analysis of manual finance processes, including journal entries, financial statement review and commentary, and reconciliation activities.
- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to document pain points and identify opportunities for automation and optimisation.
- Support the assessment and selection of automation tools, platforms, and techniques that align with project goals.
- Participate in solution design workshops, contributing insights based on investigative findings and process analysis.
- Assist in developing and executing test cases to validate the effectiveness and accuracy of proposed digital solutions.
- Deliver automation projects, whether through internal development or the implementation of third-party solutions.
- Support change management efforts and training initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new tools and processes.

Essential
- Excellent analytical and investigative capabilities, with a strong interest in evaluating complex accounting workflows.
- Deep knowledge of financial operations, including journal preparation, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Hands-on experience with leading accounting and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and Workday.
- Proficient in automation technologies, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI/ML applications in finance.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools like Power BI and Alteryx.
- Skilled in communicating effectively with both finance professionals and technical teams.
- Highly detail-oriented with a structured and logical approach to problem-solving.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with journal automation tools and finance digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with natural language generation (NLG) technologies and automated financial commentary solutions.
- Solid understanding of internal control frameworks and financial compliance standards.
- Proven track record supporting finance transformation and digital change projects.
- Exposure to Agile project delivery methodologies and iterative development practices.
- Strong skills in documentation and delivering clear, impactful presentations.
