Job Title: Senior Transactional Buyer

Contract length: 12 months initially, with potential for extension.

Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, with a hybrid work model: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is recruiting for a Senior Transactional Buyer on behalf of a global renewable energy company. The role is based at the Warwick Office.

The Senior Transactional Buyer will manage a portfolio of suppliers, handling procurement activities such as managing work queues, processing purchase orders promptly, negotiating costs, and evaluating suppliers.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage work queues to ensure timely issuance of purchase orders.
2. Collaborate closely with internal customers (MRPCs, requisitioners) to ensure customer care and early involvement.
3. Manage supplier portfolios, negotiate price increases, and resolve invoicing/payment issues.
4. Implement and adhere to globally defined procurement methods, processes, and systems to ensure efficiency and compliance (e.g., P2P process, procurement guidelines, IT systems).
5. Update supplier evaluation systems to develop and maintain high-quality supplier relationships.
6. Maintain records and ensure compliance with online purchasing and contract management systems.
7. Support or lead procurement business plan activities.
8. Analyze risks associated with procurement activities.
9. Negotiate costs for new procurement opportunities.
10. Work cross-functionally with Quality and Engineering departments.
11. Understand technical drawings and specifications.
12. Be aware of legal and regulatory restrictions.

Key Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Strong SAP transactional experience, especially with the PS1 ATLAS module in a production environment.
• At least 3 years of experience in direct procurement.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Experience working in a complex, fast-changing global environment.
• Background in an engineering environment is beneficial but not essential.
