Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across a range of high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

What you’ll do: Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer:
  • Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
  • Prepare technical designs of complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
  • Provide technical oversight on new product or service ideas and design plans
  • Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
  • Apply knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
  • Validate MOVA for complex junctions and roundabouts
Who you are:

The ideal candidate has experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and is seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on existing solutions in Traffic Signal Design.

Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer Key Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
  • Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
  • Knowledge of LinSig 3
  • Full UK Driving Licence
