Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence, suitable for conducting surveys, design validation, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities of the Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, adhering to approved procedures, including technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and plan development
• Prepare complex MOVA designs and datasets
• Maintain knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA validations for complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have prior experience designing signalised junctions and crossings and are looking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing fresh perspectives to existing solutions in traffic signal design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Experience with LinSig 3
• Full UK driving license
