Job Description:

We're looking for a Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer to join our Transportation team. In this role, you will support clients and lead traffic signal design projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards. A full driving license is essential as site visits across the UK for design and commissioning are part of the role.

Location: Nationwide - hybrid working with travel to sites required

Responsibilities

Support the end-to-end service model, from concept through design to delivery and maintenance, including support and delivery of technology/ITS/traffic signal projects for National Highways and Local Authorities.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Preparing feasibility studies, appraisal reports, and other documents
• Developing engineering solutions and presenting options
• Designing in accordance with client requirements and standards to achieve cost-effective solutions
• Producing and checking design concepts, drawings, specifications, and technical documents

Requirements

This role is suitable if you have:

• HNC/HND/Degree in a technical/engineering discipline or significant experience in traffic signal design
• Post-qualification experience in traffic signal design
• Proficiency with MS Office and engineering software like AutoCAD, KeySignals, LINSIG
• Understanding of health and safety, CDM, quality, and environmental management systems
