Job summary

VolkerWessels UK Ltd. seeks a Lead Operative to join our Traffic Management team at the Chichester depot in West Sussex.

You will follow supervisor instructions to install, maintain and remove traffic management in line with Chapter 8 and scheme drawings, while modelling a proactive safety and quality approach. Experience in traffic management operations and highways maintenance is essential; a full UK driving licence is required, with 12D M1-M6 or 12A/B LTMO/Foreman qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in traffic management operations.
• Previous experience in highways maintenance.
• Holder of 12D M1-M6 and/or 12A/B LTMO/Foreman.
• Holder of full valid UK driving licence.
• Holder of First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Work to instruction from supervisors, ensuring traffic management is installed, maintained and removed in accordance with Chapter 8 and scheme drawings.
• Demonstrate safety and quality in all tasks and lead by example.
