Senior Planner

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting the recruitment of a Senior Planner for a well-established planning team based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, growing firm and make a significant impact on a diverse range of planning projects.

As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in driving forward projects across multiple sectors. From promoting strategic land to managing housebuilder proposals, landowner promotions, appeals, and a variety of residential and commercial planning applications, you will have the chance to work on a broad spectrum of interesting and varied projects.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Managing and delivering planning applications, appeals, and appraisals.
  2. Providing expert planning advice for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  3. Supporting the promotion of strategic land and rural development projects.
  4. Leading and mentoring junior planners to ensure high-quality output and professional growth.
  5. Working collaboratively within a supportive team environment to achieve successful planning outcomes.
Role Requirements:
  1. Chartered Town Planner (RTPI).
  2. A minimum of 4 years' post-chartership experience in the planning sector, either from private or public sectors.
  3. Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  4. Proven experience in managing and delivering complex planning projects.
  5. A team player with the ability to work autonomously when required.
