Job summary

Vivid Resourcing's client is a well-established planning consultancy seeking a Senior Town Planner to join their Cardiff team. You will manage planning projects and provide strategic planning advice across residential, commercial, mixed-use and strategic developments.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Experience in planning consultancy, developer, or local authority.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning system and policy framework.

Responsibilities

• Managing planning applications and appeals from inception to determination.
• Providing commercially focused planning advice to clients.
• Preparing planning statements, appraisal reports and supporting documentation.
• Undertaking site assessments and planning policy analysis.
• Liaising with local authorities, consultants, and project teams throughout the planning process.
• Attending client meetings, stakeholder consultations, and planning committees.
• Assisting with mentoring and development of junior planning staff.
• Keeping up to date with planning legislation, policy changes, and market trends.
