Black Box Planning in Exeter is expanding its team and seeks a Planner/Senior Planner. You will deliver planning advice across a diverse portfolio, prepare applications and strategy reports, and support strategic development projects.

The role offers hybrid/flexible working and a clear path to professional growth. We value strong client relationships, commercial awareness, and solid EIA expertise for senior levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in town planning, preferably in consultancy.
• Strong understanding of the planning process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically and commercially.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Senior/Associate level requires 5+ years' planning experience and solid EIA expertise.
• RTPI membership/chartership desirable depending on level.

Responsibilities

• Delivering planning advice across a varied project portfolio.
• Preparing planning applications, appraisals and planning strategy reports.
• Supporting strategic-scale development projects.
• Managing projects and working with multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Providing clear, evidence-led planning advice.
• Contributing to the continued growth of the Exeter office.
