Job summary

Black Box Planning in Exeter seeks an experienced Planner or Senior Planner to deliver planning advice across a diverse project portfolio and support strategic-scale development. You will prepare applications, appraisals and strategy reports while managing projects with multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes developing client relationships, providing evidence-led planning input, and contributing to the Exeter office's growth.

Qualifications

• Experience working within town planning, ideally in consultancy.
• Strong understanding of the planning process.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically and commercially.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• For Senior/Associate level, 5+ years' planning experience and solid EIA expertise are key requirements.
• RTPI membership/chartership is desirable depending on level.

Responsibilities

• Delivering planning advice across a varied project portfolio.
• Preparing planning applications, appraisals and planning strategy reports.
• Supporting strategic-scale development projects.
• Managing projects and working with multidisciplinary consultant teams.
