Are you an experienced town planner ready to take the next step in your career? We're working with a respected planning consultancy that's looking to appoint a Senior Planner to join their dynamic team in Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in planning who's ready to lead, mentor, and make a real impact on a wide range of exciting projects across the UK.

The Role

As a Senior Planner, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality planning advice and services to both private and public sector clients. You'll support junior team members, collaborate with senior leadership, and contribute to projects across residential, commercial, retail, regeneration, energy, and leisure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the delivery of diverse planning projects.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and pre-app enquiries.
  • Conduct site appraisals and research to assess development potential.
  • Draft clear, concise reports and planning recommendations.
  • Engage with planning officers, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Represent clients at meetings and public consultations.
  • Contribute to business development through networking and relationship-building.

What We're Looking For

  • RTPI qualified (or working towards it), with 2-5 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong understanding of UK planning systems and current policy.
  • Proven experience in managing planning applications and appeals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach.
  • Passion for planning and a desire to contribute to meaningful development.
