Senior Town Planner / Associate Director
Private Planning Consultancy
Location: York
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits

Are you a Senior Town Planner looking for the next step in your career? Or an Associate Director seeking a new challenge in a dynamic and growing consultancy?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading private planning consultancy in York, known for its expertise, collaborative approach, and high-profile projects across the region. With a strong pipeline of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, this firm is looking for a talented planner to play a key role in shaping the built environment.

The Role
  1. Managing a diverse portfolio of projects from inception to completion
  2. Providing expert planning advice to clients across the private and public sectors
  3. Leading on applications, appeals, and strategic planning matters
  4. Engaging with key stakeholders, local authorities, and developers
  5. Supporting business development and contributing to company growth

About You
  1. MRTPI qualified (or working towards full membership)
  2. Strong experience in private consultancy or local authority planning
  3. A proven track record in handling complex planning applications and appeals
  4. Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
  5. A proactive and commercially minded approach to planning
