We are seeking a senior town planner eager to bring their experience to support the growth of our South West and Wales planning team across various major infrastructure and development projects.

You will join one of the UK's leading planning consultancies, at the forefront of sustainable infrastructure and development, including Net Zero, ESG, Biodiversity Net Gain, and digital transformation. You will have opportunities to progress across sectors such as Energy, Water, Environment Agency, National Highways, Homes England, High Speed 2, Ministry of Defence, DLUHC, Network Rail, Transport for London, Transport for the North, West of England Combined Authority, GLA, local authorities, private developers, and international development projects.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Act as Planning Lead on various projects across markets and sectors.
  • Participate in bid preparations, tender submissions, and framework responses.
  • Lead multidisciplinary projects, managing project delivery and timelines.
  • Support junior colleagues and team leaders.
  • Collaborate with environmental, engineering, and design teams within AtkinsRéalis, both UK and internationally.
  • Engage with market and client leads to support business growth.
What You Can Bring:
  • A relevant Planning degree; Chartered RTPI membership desirable.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, resilient, with excellent time management skills.
  • Experience managing multiple assignments within budget and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of planning law, procedures, and environmental assessments.
  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.
  • Proven client relationship development and work-winning experience.
