Senior Town Planner
Location: Swindon

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing planning consultancy in their search for a Senior Town Planner to join their Swindon team.

Our client works across a wide range of sectors, delivering creative and commercially aware planning solutions for projects spanning residential, commercial, mixed-use and strategic land. With a reputation for high-quality service and a strong client base, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planner to take the next step in their career.

The Role

As a Senior Town Planner, you will:
  • Lead and manage a variety of planning projects from inception through to determination and appeal
  • Prepare, submit and monitor complex planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals
  • Provide expert advice to clients across residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes
  • Engage with local planning authorities, stakeholders, and communities
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of the consultancy


Requirements

  • 5-7 years' post-qualification experience in town planning (private consultancy preferred)
  • Full MRTPI status (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of UK planning regulations and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record in managing planning applications and appeals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
