Senior Planner – Kent – Private Consultancy

We are working on an exciting opportunity with a well-respected and independent planning consultancy based in Kent. Known for their professional integrity, long-standing client relationships, and collaborative ethos, this firm offers a refreshing and values-driven approach to planning.

With a strong project portfolio across residential, commercial, and community sectors, they focus on delivering practical, creative planning solutions that balance development needs with high-quality place-making. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in leading projects, liaising with clients and local authorities, and supporting junior team members. The ideal candidate will have strong experience within the UK planning system, excellent communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a range of planning projects across sectors including residential, commercial, and community use

• Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals

• Advise clients on planning strategy and development potential

• Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and community consultees

• Contribute to the collaborative and supportive culture of the team

Requirements:

• RTPI-accredited degree and Chartered Membership (or working towards it)

• Proven experience in a UK planning consultancy or local authority setting

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage client relationships and project deadlines

• A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
