Senior Town Planner

Location: Stamford

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected planning consultancy in the search for a Senior Town Planner to join their expanding team in Stamford. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented planning professional to work across a broad mix of projects within a supportive and well-connected consultancy.

As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a key role in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals across a range of residential and mixed-use schemes. The role offers excellent exposure to both private and public sector clients and the chance to work on both local and regionally significant developments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of planning projects from inception through to delivery

  • Prepare planning statements, design & access statements, and planning appraisals

  • Engage with local authorities, clients, and stakeholders

  • Support and guide junior members of the team

  • Keep up to date with local and national planning policy changes

Requirements:

  • MRTPI status (or working towards it)

  • Minimum 3+ years of town planning experience, ideally in consultancy or local authority

  • Strong report-writing and communication skills

  • Good commercial awareness and client-facing ability

  • Confident working on a range of planning applications and appeals
