Job Title: Senior Town Planner

Location: North Yorkshire

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Carrington West are pleased to be exclusively working with a leading private planning consultancy in North Yorkshire that specialises in a diverse range of projects including residential, energy, waste & power, industrial, commercial, and agriculture. With a recent merger, they are expanding their team across both businesses and are seeking experienced Senior Planners to join them on a permanent basis.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality planning solutions across various projects. You will be responsible for providing expert advice, managing planning applications, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Mentoring junior members of staff. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and contribute to the growth and success of the consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee planning applications from inception to completion.
2. Provide expert advice on planning policies and regulations.
3. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and authorities to ensure project objectives are met.
4. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
5. Prepare and present reports and recommendations to clients and regulatory bodies.
6. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements:

1. Chartered Senior Planner (RTPI or equivalent qualification).
2. Proven experience in a similar role within the planning consultancy sector.
3. Strong knowledge of planning policies, regulations, and procedures.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Flexible approach to work with the ability to travel to the York office once or twice a week.
