Job summary

FutureGen Recruitment is seeking a Senior Town Planner for our Reading-based team. The role focuses on managing projects for established clients, coordinating with a national network of planning colleagues, and delivering clear planning advice.

The position offers hybrid working, a salary range of £41,000–£51,000, and a broader package including pension, healthcare, and paid professional fees. The successful candidate will have MRTPI or equivalent and strong project management skills.

About the role

This role is built around one central idea: manage projects for established clients and collaborate with planning colleagues across a national network. The team’s current workload includes residential, commercial, logistics, education and strategic development across the Thames Valley.

• Manage planning applications and coordinate technical inputs.
• Maintain regular, professional communication with clients and project teams.
• Negotiate constructively with local planning authorities and other stakeholders.
