Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Town Planner to join our planning team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading planning projects, providing expert advice to clients, and contributing to the growth and success of our consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  2. Provide expert planning advice to clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  3. Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and other planning documents.
  4. Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and assessments to support planning proposals.
  5. Liaise with local authorities, government agencies, and other relevant bodies to facilitate project approvals.
  6. Mentor and support junior members of the team, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Town Planning or related field.
  2. Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent professional qualification.
  3. Significant experience working in town planning, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  4. Excellent knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
  5. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  7. Proficiency in relevant planning software and tools.
