Bennett and Game are delighted to represent a well-established, employee-owned multidisciplinary practice seeking an ambitious Senior Town Planner to join their growing team in either their Bristol or Cardiff office. Our client has a team of 29 professionals, with 18 based in Cardiff and 11 in Bristol, working collaboratively across planning, urban design, and landscape architecture. They specialise in sectors including Residential, Education, Heritage, and Commercial.

As part of the Planning team, the Senior Town Planner will work on a diverse range of projects from inception to delivery, including Leisure, Educational, Residential, Healthcare, and Mixed-use developments. The role involves preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and development appraisals. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills and will play a key role in shaping planning strategies, mentoring junior colleagues, and contributing to the company's growth.

Responsibilities

1. Undertaking landscape design and occasional landscape planning tasks.
2. Working independently and within a team environment.
3. Supporting and supervising junior staff members.
4. Delivering high-quality projects within client briefs and budgets.
5. Engaging with clients and stakeholders across various sectors.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 5 years post-qualification industry experience.
2. Degree and/or Master's in Town Planning or related discipline.
3. MRTPI qualification or working towards Chartered status.
4. Strong understanding of UK planning policy and development management.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Ability to commute to either Cardiff or Bristol office.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary from £35,000 to £46,000 depending on experience.
