Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment is seeking a Senior Tour Developer in the UK to own end-to-end development of escorted tours and cruise-and-tour packages, negotiating with overseas suppliers and delivering compelling itineraries.

You will work within a growing Product team to shape a distinctive holiday portfolio, building international supplier relationships and driving commercially successful products for a global audience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tour development, escorted touring or cruise-and-tour product creation.
• Strong international destination and itinerary knowledge.
• Confident supplier negotiator with excellent commercial awareness.
• Skilled in costing, pricing, budgeting and margin management.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects.
• Creative, proactive and passionate about developing standout holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative escorted tours and cruise-and-tour itineraries.
• Research new destinations, trends and unique customer experiences.
• Build strong relationships with international suppliers, DMCs, hotels and cruise lines.
• Negotiate competitive rates, exclusive experiences and added-value inclusions.
• Manage product costing, pricing, budgets and profit margins.
• Coordinate product delivery, ensuring accuracy, quality and deadlines are met.
• Work with Marketing to develop engaging product content and key selling points.
• Review sales performance and customer feedback to improve existing products.
• Support and train the sales team on new and existing products.

My client are looking for a creative, commercially minded Senior Tour Developer to join a growing Product team, developing distinctive escorted tours and cruise-and-tour packages across the globe. From initial concept to launch, you'll take ownership of creating compelling itineraries, negotiating with overseas suppliers and delivering high-quality, commercially successful holiday products.
