Job description

Overview:
Synergi is proud to be working with a leading manufacturing company in Middlesex, currently seeking a skilled Senior Toolmaker to join their dynamic and experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a busy industrial site equipped with a wide range of machinery, where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of the operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manufacture tooling as per Tool Order Requests using current design drawings.
  • Interpret and work to BS 308 drawing standards and associated British Standards.
  • Confidently use precision measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, slip gauges, pin/thread gauges, and shadow graphs.
  • Carry out maintenance, repair, and improvements on mould and press tooling.
  • Inspect and test tooling to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Adhere to all relevant work instructions and health & safety regulations.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification.
  • Current Abrasive Wheels Regulations certificate.
  • Experience with laser welding (desirable).
  • Familiarity with modern moulding and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
