Your future Team:

As part of a growing account, Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is expanding its Derby site to meet increased workload. We are recruiting for a Senior Tooling Designer to join an embedded team responsible for designing tooling, jigs, fixtures, and components that meet client requirements.

Your Missions:

• Design systems and components that meet customer requirements
• Produce outline designs
• Identify, formulate, and produce effective solutions to emerging problems
• Evaluate final product’s overall performance, reliability, and safety
• Alter and modify design to meet customer requirements
• Estimate budget and scope of project
• Manage Risk and Opportunity
• Prepare product reports and documentation
• Engage in lifelong learning and develop new theories or methods

Qualifications

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

• Experience in roles emphasizing Valves, Pressure Vessels, Structural, Tooling, or Lifting Equipment Design
• Understanding of relevant design codes and safety legislation
• Ability to define budgets and work programs for complete design project lifecycles
• Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (e.g., Siemens NX) or willingness to learn
• Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcentre)
• Knowledge of engineering analysis tools (MathCAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS)
• BEng or similar qualification in an engineering-related field
