Cobalt Recruitment is seeking a Senior to Principal EIA Consultant in London to take ownership of high-profile Environmental Impact Assessments and help shape the growth of the EIA team.

You will lead complex projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships and contribute to business development, with clear opportunities to progress into senior leadership as the team expands.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4-6+ years' experience in EIA or environmental planning consultancy.
• Strong experience coordinating and delivering EIAs across property, regeneration or infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of UK EIA regulations and the planning process.
• Excellent project management, communication and client-facing skills.
• Commercially minded with the ambition to contribute to business development.
• The confidence to work independently while collaborating with an experienced senior team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior to Principal EIA Consultant to join a highly regarded and growing planning and environmental consultancy in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious EIA professional looking to take greater ownership of projects, work closely with senior leadership and help shape the future growth of an expanding EIA team.

The Opportunity

You'll work on a diverse portfolio of high-profile developments, including large-scale regeneration, residential-led schemes, sporting venues, renewable energy and waste infrastructure projects.

This is more than just a technical delivery role. You'll have the opportunity to influence the direction of the EIA function, develop client relationships and play a genuine part in growing this area of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments across complex development projects.
• Managing EIA screening, scoping and Environmental Statement preparation.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong experience coordinating and delivering EIAs, ideally across property, regeneration or infrastructure projects.
• A solid understanding of UK EIA regulations and the planning process.
• Excellent project management, communication and client-facing skills.
• A commercially minded approach, with the ambition to contribute to business development.
• The confidence to work independently while collaborating with an experienced senior team.

Experience in DCO/NSIP projects would be welcomed but is not essential.
