Job summary

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is hiring a Band 7 Tissue Viability Nurse to lead and develop the tissue viability service. You will deliver expert advice, leadership, and practical improvements in wound care, skin integrity and pressure ulcer prevention across the Trust.

You will work with MDT colleagues to drive harm-free care initiatives, deliver training and supervise audit-driven service improvements.

Qualifications

• RGN; first degree or relevant equivalent experience; evidence of contributions to Tissue Viability education.
• Experience managing patients with complex wounds.
• Experience in report writing and action plan implementation.

Responsibilities

• Support Harm Free Care agendas with Tissue Viability; conduct audits and develop improvement action plans.
• Provide accurate Tissue Viability information, advice and support to MDT.
• Develop and deliver training/education packages on Tissue Viability.
• Investigate Hospital Acquired Pressure Ulcers (HAPU) using PSIRF methodology and assist improvement plans.
• Contribute to Harm Free Care policy/guideline development and clinical benchmarking.
