This transformative service will play a central role in system change, bringing previously separate services into one service, supporting children and young people to experience good mental health and emotional wellbeing by providing timely, integrated, high quality and accessible multi-disciplinary support that is accessible and flexible based on individual need.
About the role
As a Senior Therapist for Children & Young People, you will deliver person centred outcome focused evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties to support them to improve their emotional health and build resilience. This will include individual and group work and you will be assisting with the running of the single point of access and providing guided self-help, 1-1 counselling, group sessions and facilitating peer support.
Responsibilities
In the role of Senior Therapist, you will be utilising analytical skills, specialist knowledge and experience provide a comprehensive assessment and formulation of the presenting problem taking into account the child’s educational attainment, chronological/ developmental stage, inner world / emotional wellbeing, the mental health & Wellbeing of the child’s parents/carers, the family dynamics and environment, and the broader social context including school. About the rewards
