Job summary

The Berkshire Cancer Centre, part of Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a Senior Therapeutic Radiographer to deliver high-quality radiotherapy and lead clinical areas across Reading and Bracknell.

You will support IR(ME)R compliant treatment delivery, supervise junior staff, contribute to service development, and participate in education and research initiatives within a progressive radiotherapy service.

Qualifications

• Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or Diploma of College of Radiographers
• State Registration
• Defined area of specialist practice/experience with caseload management
• Project work and evidence of further study
• Understanding of wider cancer agenda e.g. TSSG's for Cancer Network
• Previous/relevant experience essential
• Experience of working to a high standard with a wide variety of Radiotherapy techniques & equipment
• Knowledge / Experience of modern Radiotherapy

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality radiotherapy treatments using modern technologies
• Lead clinical areas and support junior staff in the absence of senior colleagues
• Act as an Operator under IR(ME)R regulations
• Contribute to governance, quality improvement and service development
• Support education, supervision, and assessment of learners
