Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor to oversee regulatory compliance, instructional standards and governance of theoretical knowledge training within the BA ATO. The role ensures training aligns with regulatory requirements, manufacturer data and SOPs, supporting pilot competence and safe operation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of UK CAA Aircrew and Air Ops regulatory requirements.
• Extensive experience as a TKI in subjects relevant to the training provided by the ATO.
• Strong understanding of ATO governance, compliance monitoring and training oversight.
• Experience developing, reviewing or assuring pilot training programmes.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance and Governance: Act as the nominated CTKI and oversee regulatory audits and compliance monitoring.
• Instructional Standards: Oversee TKIs, conduct observations, and quality assurance reviews.
• Training & Assessment Governance: Oversee syllabi, materials and examinations.
• Safety & Continuous Improvement: Use data and audits to identify training risks and drive improvements.
