Job summary

Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital is hiring a Theatre Scrub Practitioner (RGN/ODP) for a permanent full-time position. The role includes weekend work and on-call duties, with a salary up to £42,000 depending on experience.

You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering high standards of care in a private healthcare setting. As a Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner, you must be registered with the applicable governing body (NMC/HPC) and bring post-registration theatre experience.

Qualifications

• Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or HPC).
• Post-registration experience desirable; scrubbing theatre skills preferred.
• Experience in General, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynae, ENT, Plastics, Dental and vascular is essential; anaesthetic or recovery skills recommended.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior clinicians in a fast-paced theatre setting.
• Maintain a varied caseload across specialities.
• Communicate effectively with the team and patients.
• Utilise state-of-the-art theatre equipment and facilities.
• Supervise and develop junior team members.
• Contribute to evidence-based patient care and clinical effectiveness.

As a Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner (ODP) at our Leicester Hospital, you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC or HPC. You bring a passion for high standards, a meticulous eye for detail and post-registration experience. You’re a focused, flexible and motivated team worker.

As a Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:

• Work with some of the best in the field.

• Use state-of-the‑art technology, equipment and facilities.
• Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team.
• Shape patient experiences that are always clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.

Experience in General, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynae, ENT, Plastics, Dental and vascular essential Added Speciality of either Anaesthetic or recovery skills recommended but not essential
