Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Senior Theatre Practitioner within the Women’s and Children’s Theatres at the Royal Derby Hospital. The role covers 2 Gynae theatres, obstetric and paediatric theatres, requiring clinical excellence and strong leadership in a busy MDT environment.

The successful candidate will contribute in leadership, teaching, and line management, while maintaining patient dignity and safety throughout the perioperative

Qualifications

• Extensive theatre experience across gynae, obstetric and paediatric theatres.
• Qualified teaching/assessing qualification.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care within MDT.

Responsibilities

• Contribute clinically and managerially across the Women’s and Children’s Theatre Suite.
• Provide leadership and act as a Line Manager when required.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate surgical and anaesthetic care.
• Support MDT and promote high-quality care and teamwork.
