Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Scrub Nurse/Surgical First Assistant to work at an outstanding private hospital in Central London. This hospital is part of one of the UK's leading healthcare providers, committed to patient care and well-being.

Qualifications: To be considered, you must be a qualified Registered Nurse, SFA, or ODP with a current active NMC/HCPC registration.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in complex surgeries across specialties such as General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Plastics, Gynaecology, and Urology.
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field to ensure patient safety and minimize infection risks.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure smooth theatre operations.
  • Support junior staff and students, promoting ongoing learning and development.
  • Accurately document perioperative care and interventions.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience as a Scrub Practitioner in multiple specialties.
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control, and patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Salary & Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a salary up to £50,000 per year, with a permanent full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, working early and late shifts. Benefits include:
