Job description

Senior Theatre Practitioner/ SFA - Kent Area - Full time - Private Hospital - Up to £44,500 per annum (Negotiable depending on Experience)

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Theatre Practitioner/SFA who can plan and implement high standards of perioperative care, following hospital guidelines and protocols, promoting a patient-focused approach to care.

About the Role
  1. Plan and prepare theatre lists appropriately.
  2. Accurately enter patient information on IT systems.
  3. Ensure patient care areas are safe, fit for purpose, and effective.
  4. Maintain the safe custody of medications and controlled drugs.
Skills and Experience Required
  • First level Registered Nurse/HCPC registered ODP.
  • SFA qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Post-registration education in a relevant specialty, Degree in Healthcare, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Expert Scrub nurse with post-qualification scrub experience in various surgical specialties.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to support team working.
  • Strong patient-centred approach.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Outlook, web-based reporting systems).
  • Commitment to professionalism and fostering a positive team environment.
  • Honesty, integrity, and ethics in the workplace.
