Qualifications
- Registered nurse or ODP with NMC/ODP registration.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Currently working towards a degree.
- ILS/ALS qualification.
- Post-registration education related to theatre speciality.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the safe management of the post anaesthetised/surgical patient and promote safe discharge.
- Be responsible for the monitoring and nursing management of the surgical patient (airway, wounds, drains, pain).
- Demonstrate clear leadership qualities and allocate staff for day-to-day tasks.
- Support learning and development within the team and contribute to governance and clinical supervision.
