Job summary

Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital is seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner (Bank) to join our theatre team. This bank role offers up to £30 per hour depending on experience and provides flexible, ad-hoc hours.

You will be registered with the NMC, bring post-registration theatre experience, mentoring skills, and the ability to supervise junior staff and students while maintaining patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC).
• Post-registration nursing experience.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner at our Wessex Hospital,you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and have strong clinical experience.

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner,you will:

• Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring
• Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
• Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs
• Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
• Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
• Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training
